Southside COGIC, your FRIEND in the community!
The Lord inspired Bishop Robinson to formulate a non-profit 501c3 organization named the Community Development Corp. of Florida (CDAF). The first major phase of the foundation is to create an independent housing facility for seniors: The Village at Southside.
This project consists of a design and construction of 34,000 square feet, 50-plus beds, one and two bedroom suites and studio apartments nestled in a quiet, peaceful, secluded, and close-to-nature environment.
The intent of the center is to help adults, veterans, the disabled and their families to uphold a life of dignity and independence by providing them with supportive community-building services. The center will enable them to live in an environment focused on avoiding premature and unncecessay institutionalization.

(CDAF, Inc.) was founded by Bishop Edward Robinson, Sr. This non-profit organization was developed as an innovative multi-service agency providing a broad base of culturally responsive services that enhance the quality of life for all economically disadvantaged, at-risk targeted populations.

Scouting has helped shape young people into successful, mindful American citizens who work to improve and give back to their communities.
